# Diafane

> Diafane is an online stained glass design app for computer and tablet: draw the lead came or the copper foil, choose your glass, simulate real daylight through the window, and deliver the full-size cartoon ready for the workshop.

Diafane runs in the browser (nothing to install) on any recent computer or tablet, with stylus support such as the Apple Pencil. It is vector-based and purpose-built for stained glass: it automatically detects the glass pieces inside your lead lines, computes each piece's exact cutting outline, and prints at 1:1 scale (A4, A3, Letter, Tabloid or custom) or exports it as DXF for a cutting machine such as a Silhouette or a Cricut. It supports both assembly techniques, traditional lead came and copper foil (the Tiffany method), chosen for the project. Its signature feature is a geolocated solar simulation showing real daylight through the window by place, orientation, date and time. Free plan (up to 3 projects, all tools) and a subscription (EUR 9.90/month or EUR 99/year). Available in six languages: French, English, Italian, Spanish, German and Dutch.
