Workshop Mode
Numbered templates, a full-size cartoon, the cutting list, measurements and cost: export it all, cut it or print it, at home and in the workshop.
Perfect shapes
Starting from your drawing, Diafane calculates the final shape of the glass to cut, taking into account the heart width or the foil width, and applies the assembly clearance you have set, piece by piece. Lead or Tiffany, Diafane follows the technique you have chosen. Every pattern comes out numbered, at full size, ready to cut.
Printing options
No plotter needed: the cartoon comes out at true size on your desktop printer, in numbered sheets with their assembly marks. A check ruler on the first page lets you verify the scale before you start printing.
You also choose the printed line: lead came at its real width, the thin outline or the cutting outline of each piece.
Machine cutting
Whether you have a Cricut, a Silhouette or a workshop laser, the DXF carries the real outline of every piece at full size, ready to cut. For cutting by hand, your paper patterns come out numbered, and their line can be inked towards the inside of the piece: the cut follows the outer edge of the black, and the gap between pieces stays intact.
To save paper, pieces of the same shape can share a single template, symmetrical pieces a template to flip, and Diafane can arrange them on as few pages as possible.
Cost estimate
Answer a client the same day, figures in hand. Whether the window has ten pieces or two hundred, Diafane calculates everything for you: number of pieces, total glass area and area per color, length of H and U lead came, or length of copper foil and weight of solder in Tiffany work.
The cost of materials follows your own prices, per square meter or per sheet, and the list can be exported as a PDF or a spreadsheet.
Large formats
A plotter prints your cartoon in one piece, at the width of its roll and up to five meters long, and a desktop printer splits it into sheets to assemble. Your stained glass window and your glass pieces always print at true size, from the smallest panel to the largest glass wall.
Production tracking
Always know where you stand, even after weeks away. Whether the panel is on the bench or you pick it up between two jobs, every piece carries its status, to do, in progress or completed, and you can add a note to keep your bearings.
