Light Mode

The sun on your window, simulated to the day.

Watch the sun shine through your stained glass before it is installed, at its exact position and angle, on any day of the year, at any hour.

The rendering

Glass has thickness, and the light knows it.

Your stained glass, with the sun shining through it, is rendered in a three-dimensional scene: textures carve the surface, each glass lets light through according to its transparency, and the lead came keeps its thickness. Turn the panel to see the sun's rays pass through it or, on a light background, let the light cast its colors onto the floor.

To show the result to your client, a photo or a video of the day is enough. With a sharing link (Premium feature), they play with the light themselves.

The real light

The sun in Manchester isn't the sun in Perth.

Tell Diafane where the window will be installed, and it simulates the sun's path. Whether the opening faces north in a chapel or due south on a conservatory, its address and orientation are enough.

Then choose any day of the year and any hour, or scroll through the whole day, from sunrise to sunset.

The chosen light

The sun's path at your fingertips

Low evening light or full summer noon, take the sun in hand: move it around the sky as you please, increase or soften its intensity, warm up its color, and enjoy the result.
